The Body Shop launches Cruelty-Free Makeup line

The new Lily Cole Cruelty-Free Collection launched on June 11th. The limited edition line is full of pinks, corals and shimmers. Last month The Body Shop brought in New York make-up artist Lisa Aharon to beautify a bunch of Las Vegas bloggers with the new collection. Lisa has worked with companies like Ralph Lauren, Bumble and Bumble and Tory Burch.

First she touched up my face with Extra Virgin Minerals creme to powder makeup. She lined my eyes with a brown eyeliner and then topped it with the new Lily Cole Liquid Liner in “Ink Up Violet”. Lisa’s Tip:If you are afraid of colored liners, first line with black or brown, then top with a color.

Before adding color to my cheeks, Lisa dusted my cheeks with translucent setting powder. This is an essential step before using a creme or liquid cheek color over your foundation. She used Honey bronzing powder to highlight under the cheekbones and added color with the Lily Cole Lip & Cheek Dome in Pinch Me Pink. She also used this creme to powder color on my lips.

Finally she added a little shimmer to my eyes with the Lily Cole Shimmer Cubes. These cubed shadows are individually packaged and look like little sugar cubes. Take a couple out for travel or mix and match them with the other Shimmer Cubes in The Body Shop’s standard collections.
