Sephora will have mini-stores in Kohl’s and Ulta is doing the same inside Target stores.
Earlier this year America’s beauty behemoths announced partnerships to get more get their products in front of consumers. Both company’s plans hinge on placing small pop-up kiosks inside Kohl’s and Target locations across the country. Both have begun to open at select locations and they have also placed products for sale on those stores’ websites. Here are places in Maryland where you can visit these new popups and get your favorite beauty products.
Nothing, nada, zip, zilch. That’s right, our little beauty starved state gets nothing. Not one Kohl’s in Maryland has been earmarked for a Sephora kiosk. You can buy Sephora products on the Kohl’s website but coupons don’t count and the freeship minimum is $75. You’re better off getting a freeship code for online orders or doing a pickup order for existing standalone and JCPenney locations.
So far there will be three ULTA Target locations in Maryland and two are already open:
Gaithersburg (Coming Soon)
You can also get ULTA Beauty products online and the free shipping minimum is much lower at $35. This is great because you can bundle your household supplies with hard-to-find beauty products like The Ordinary.
Coming from an area where shopping is plentiful, I always feel like they are not enough ULTA locations in Maryland. Beauties in the Baltimore area will soon have a new store to visit in Arundel Mills! The new location will be having a grand opening weekend that begins on May 3, 2019.
The special event runs Friday, May 3rd through Sunday, May 5th. Each day the first 100 guests* will receive an Ulta Beauty treat – valued anywhere from $5 to $100. Guests must be 16 or older to get the gift. For more details about the grand opening, visit the ULTA Facebook page.
The store is also hiring, so if you’re looking click here.
ULTA has a great gift set right now filled with everything you need to glow this summer. ‘The Glow Up’ gift set is $20 and includes six prestige brand products. It also has a $5 coupon you can use to purchase a full-size version of one of the products in the set.

Score at ULTA with these coupons coming to your email
For about the past nine months or so, I have been getting $15 off $50 coupons in my email every quarter. Here is how I took advantage of the deal and read the end to see how to get yours!
Mia Puffy Pony, $6: I sometimes work as a photography assistant and I thought this would be a neat accessory to add volume to a long, thin ponytail. Unfortunately, this only works if you have thick hair already.
The Scrub Of Your Life by Soap & Glory, $12: This five star body scrub smells great, comes in a handy squeeze bottle and gets rid of the rough spots!
Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm by Clinique, $6 (trial size): This balm transforms into an oil that removes even the thickest mascara and physical sunscreens. Find the trial size hidden in the Clinique displays.
DipBrow Pomade by Anastasia, $18: I got a deluxe sample of this brow pomade and had to get it. It comes in a nice range of hair colors and makes your brows look like a professional did them!
Tarte Lip Sculptor minis, $12: When you want to put gloss over your lipstick you end up messing up your gloss wand or trying to use your finger. Tarte Sculptor by Tarte has a lipstick on one end and the matching gloss on the other. Problem solved! Find this mini duo tucked into one of the prestige cases or up at the cash wrap.
10 days To Great Skin by Clinique, Free: ULTA has been serving up unannounced freebies with purchase lately. They change every day and you never know what you’re going to get. This kit has 10 ten days worth of Clinique skincare including Liquid Facial Soap, Clarifying Lotion and Dramatically Different Moisturizer. Perfect for your next vacation.
Now for the deals – Most of them come to my secondary email (not the email registered to my account), but still work with my club card. I have also been getting quarterly 20 percent off total purchase offers to both emails. These offers are GOOD on prestige products! Try to set up a second email and see what you get!
You can now find that popular Instagram concealer inside ULTA stores! L.A. Girl’s HD Pro Conceal has a brush applicator which makes for a cleaner and easier application. The full line of L.A. Girl is available on the ULTA website but you can find the concealer in a small portable display in store (very small, blink and you’ll miss it). The colors are limited to six complexion shades and four correctors, priced at $4.99 each.
I grabbed the lightest shade I could find, Porcelain. L.A. Girl suggests you choose a shade two or so shades lighter to use as a concealer. The applicator is reminiscent of Stila Lip Glaze, and makes it easier to apply. It blends well with a sponge/blender and has good staying powder as long as you use a setting powder. You have to use a good amount for coverage so I don’t think it will last that long. Buy one in store and if you like it, stock up online. You can also find it at select Rite Aid and CVS Pharmacy (coming soon) stores.
