ULTA has a great gift set right now filled with everything you need to glow this summer. ‘The Glow Up’ gift set is $20 and includes six prestige brand products. It also has a $5 coupon you can use to purchase a full-size version of one of the products in the set.
Here’s what you get:
Becca Light Priming Filter .5 fl. oz. – This purple primer gets rid of dullness and can be used with or without makeup.
Julep Boost Your Radiance Reparative Rosehip Seed Facial Oil .14 fl.oz. – Rosehip Seed Oil is a moisturizing anti-aging compound that helps to improve the look of fine lines and skin texture.
Laura Gellar New York Dewdreamer Illuminating Drops in Gilded Honey (full size) – This ultra pigmented illuminator can be used with or without foundation as well as on the body to produce a nice glow.
Lorac Light Source 3-in-1 Illuminating Primer in Dusk .33 fl.oz. This golden primer can be used alone or under foundation. Can also be used to highlight.
NARS Orgasm .12 oz. – One of the most popular blushes in the world, this pinky-peach blush that looks good on every complexion. This is also the main reason I bought this kit!

July is my birthday month. There is no better way to celebrate your birthday than with some great freebies and discounts from your favorite beauty retailers! Here are the ones I scored for 2015:
Sephora – Beauty Insiders get a pair of NARS Lip Pencils in Cruella and Rikugien. The deluxe samples aren’t that much smaller than the full size. VIP Beauty Insiders also get a NARS eyeliner. All you have to do is sign up before your birthday month. No purchase required.
Victoria’s Secret: Sign up for emails and get a special coupon for your birthday that entitles you to $10 off a $30 purchase. Get something in the beauty department or load up on cotton panties.
ULTA – ULTA changes the birthday gift every few months or so. This summer I got a deluxe sample of Urban Decay’s Perversion Mascara. You have to be an ULTAmate rewards member and you’ll get an email around your birthday that is good for 30 days. Another perk you’ll receive is 2 X points during your birthday month. I got a haircut, bought some hair products and makeup staples and ended up with $8 in rewards – and these are good on all brands and products.
The Body Shop – Members of the Love Your Body program get $10 on their birthday. A membership costs $10 per year, but you also get 10 percent off everyday purchases plus you accumulate points toward reward certificates.
Godiva – This isn’t a beauty product but it is chocolate! Join the rewards program to get a free piece of chocolate each month, rewards for purchases and other exclusive offers. For my birthday I got a $10 ceritficate that I used toward the Birthday Truffle Flight $16-$10= $6.
I have used a lot of eyeshadow primers but this one beats them all hands down. They also recently changed the packaging from a wand to tube, which makes application easier and more sanitary. You can apply this primer and then wait for it to dry, or just put your shadow right over it. It makes your shadow last all day and concentrates the pigments. It is also great with creme shadow. It gave my Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Cream shadow a more uniform, smoother look. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer is available in four colors, original (nude), Sin (Shimmering Champagne), Greed (Gold) and Eden (Matte Tawny). Eden is great if you have “stained” eyelids, it will cover and prime at the same time. Available at Sephora and UrbanDecay.com, $19.
