Formula 10.0.6 Get Your Glow On Skin-Brightening Peel Mask, a review

Formula 10.0.6 Get Your Glow On Skin-Brightening Peel Mask, $6.99

I have wanted to try a peel mask for awhile and now I know why I didn’t. This mask was a disaster for me. Formula 10.0.6 is a relatively new brand that can be found in ULTA, CVS, Target and other retailers. The line includes facial skin care products like moisturizers, toners, cleansers and masks.

I grabbed the Get Your Glow On Skin-Brightening Peel Mask because it was on sale and I wanted to try a peel mask. I cleansed my face and went it for the kill. First off, it’s hard to spread the mask on. The consistency is kind of like rubber cement and the translucent color makes it hard to see how thick/thin you are applying it.

Once I thought it was applied thoroughly, I waited for it to dry. The tube says 10-15 minutes, but it was probably a little longer (I also live in a humid climate). It was hard to get off, and definitely did not come off in one big piece. There were little patches that I couldn’t get off and when I tried to use water, it gummed up again! I even tried a cleansing wipe without much success. Suffice to say I couldn’t tell you how the mask treated my skin because I was too focused on taking it off. Later on in the day there were still little pieces of mask peeling off.

I’m not going to blame my misfortunes on this brand. I’m sure I would have similar results with another brand and peeling masks Just aren’t my thing. If I do try one again I will get something dark and deep like those black charcoal (I may get a commission from this link) masks.
