The Las Vegas Strip is lined with luxury spas offering every spa treatment known to man. A $300 massage may be acceptable when you’re on vacation, but for most locals it’s a no-go. But never fear! I have compiled a list of local spots where you can relax without spending a lot of money.
Best Massage – Gianna Christine Spa & Salon
Blink and you might miss this little spa and salon located in the District at Green Valley Ranch. A one-hour Aromatherapy Swedish Massage at this Aveda Salon & Spa will only run you $65. Plus, you’ll get to relax by the fire with a cup of tea while you wait for your treatment.
Best Facial – Aveda Institute
The Aveda Institute is a beauty school in Las Vegas where students learn cosmetology the Ayurvedic way. Facials are customized for each client and include a warm foot bath, hand or foot massage and a sensory experience. After you finish, you’ll get your makeup touched up as well. This truly relaxing and natural facial will only cost you $40. Another great thing about the Aveda Institute is hard appointment times. No “windows” like you get at other beauty schools. Gift certificates are available.
Best Pedicure – Professor Nails & Spa
This little nail place in Southern Highlands has the best pedicure packages around. They have a huge pedicure room, so you can always get in. They even offer you a beverage, including wine! The basic pedicure is 40 minutes and includes a soak (with disposable tub liners), clip, file, callous removal and your choice of foot scrub. Finish off with a hot stone massage, lotion and nail polish. Only $30.
Best Manicure – LOOK Style Society
LOOK Style Society is a full service salon located at Town Square Las Vegas. LOOK has the only west coast version of the Essie Nail Lounge where you can get all of Essie’s more than 300 nail colors. A quality manicure with all Essie products is only $25. Stop in Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and get 25% off for the salon’s happy hour.
Hair Extensions – Original Diva
You don’t have to be born with thick, lustrous hair, you can buy it! Original Diva in the Miracle Mile Shops is taking the guesswork and the high prices out of hair extensions. The salon sells both clip-in and tape-in hair extensions for every hair type. Whether you are looking to make your hair appear thicker or add a whole head of long hair, Original Diva has you covered. Filler starts at $150 for tape-ins and $199 for clip-ins. Original Diva will insert and trim them to match your hair.
Best Spray Tan – LOOK Style Society
LOOK Style Society also has the best spray tan in both price and quality. Many of the traditional spray tan places only have the stand up booth, which is less customized. LOOK Style Society uses Chocolate Sun, an organic sunless tan that is custom mixed for you and hand applied. The cost is $45 per tan or you can buy a tan package. Sunless tans are also included in the salon’s 25% off happy hour.
