Review of Little Black Capris by Ellie

I normally only post reviews of beauty and makeup products, but since working out and being fit has become a large part of being beautiful, I decided Ellie would be a good fit.

Ellie is a subscription website that offers stylish workout apparel. You can buy pieces one at a time, or sign up to the subscription service and get one outfit a month for $49.95 + shipping. The “Fit Fashionista” club allows you to choose and outfit from the newest collection. I happened upon the site when there was a sale ($24.50 per piece) and decided to try them out. Because of the sale, a lot of the products were out of stock. I was able to pick up a pair of basic Little Black Capris.

My favorite all-time workout clothes are from Lululemon. However, their prices are a little high. The Ellie Little Black Capris are a cotton blend (90% supplex, 10% spandex)  with a 4-way stretch. When I took them out of the box, I thought no way. But they stretch a lot. They fit very similar to a cotton pair of Lululemon pants. I haven’t washed them yet, so I’m not sure how they will hold up over time. There are specific laundering instructions (much like Lululemon).  Machine  wash cold with like colors, no bleach, no softeners (By the way, if you want to keep your clothes in good shape and true to color, DON’T USE FABRIC SOFTENER!) and add a teaspoon of salt to keep color fabulous..hmmm.

In summary, for the price I paid they are a decent buy. I wouldn’t pay more than $25 per piece (they can run up to $90), so the subscription is  a better deal. They also gave me a free hair elastic.
